Akai Ito was created in a year of existential crisis, a year when everything capsized and turbulent waters had to be swum through. This intense period was charted, not necessarily to reflect the factual events but rather to shape the lasting impressions left behind.

Akai Ito is a well-known Asian belief widespread in Japan. According to this legend, two people are linked by the red thread of fate. Symbolically, the pair's little fingers are tied together.
